Description

None graded higher! Ok, now were talking about major rarity and importance. Carson City $20 Liberties were minted between 1870 and 1893. And their mintage figures were very small each year, as there was less gold and commercial demand than was seen in San Francisco. And the survival rates for top quality specimens is very low. It was the small town Wild, Wild West and these coins were spent, not saved by the miners and cowboys in Nevada at this time. All Carson City twenties are rare in Uncirculated condition and almost non existent in Gem condition. For the 1884-CC, in 36 years, PCGS has only graded nine specimens Choice Uncirculated MS63, and NONE HAVE BEEN GRADED HIGHER! Carson City twenties have been red hot lately, and that’s just the lower circulated grades. True mint state coins are super important gold rarities. This is a truly Choice Uncirculated specimen. The undeniably original surfaces are bathed in a blend of frosted luster and beautiful golden-apricot color. A true Uncirculated Carson City twenty and a great gold rarity.
