Description

An extraordinary specimen! The 1921 Peace dollar is a super important one-year-only type coin, one of the most important of the 20th Century. It is a High Relief design, similar in many ways to the 1907 gold High Relief. And like the gold design, the 1921 silver High Relief was impractical for major commercial use, so the design was “flattened” in 1922. Most 1921 Peace dollars are weakly struck, and thus full struck Gems are quite rare. This is an amazing Gem. The surfaces are very clean and mark-free. The luster is white and iridescent. The strike is truly extraordinary with full hair and feather detail. It’s one of the sharpest strikes we have ever seen, and one of the very best specimens we have ever had. We actually had to pay a little extra, so the price is a little extra for this one. But this is a true coin for the connoisseur! CAC CERTIFIE
