Near perfect Gem proof! The two cent piece is one of the shortest-lived U.S. coin series, as they were only minted for 10 years, 1864 to 1873. The 1873 is the last year of issue and it was only struck in proof. So it’s an important “proof-only” issue. This is a beautiful specimen. The surfaces are deeply mirrored and mark-free. The color is rich and iridescent. A gorgeous Gem!
