White original luster Gem! An all-time classic 19th Century silver type coin…one of the most important in the market. And because they were only minted for two years (1875 & 1876), they are rare today in all grades. They were not popular during their time of use because they looked confusingly like a silver quarter. This is fresh and original Gem Uncirculated specimen. The surfaces are frosty with an almost imperceivable hint of super light golden patina…which we like as it proves the coin has never been cleaned and is in totally original condition. This is a fantastic coin to have and hold…a “forever ”coin!
