Condition Census Gem! Barber half dollars have been avidly collected for decades and we have seen some fabulous sets. The 1905 Philadelphia is a somewhat underrated date that is much tougher in truly Superb condition than most collectors realize. This specimen is one of the finest known. In 36 years, PCGS has only graded two examples MS67, with just two graded higher. The auction record for this date is $132,250 in 2010 for the MS68+ from the incredible Dr. Steve Duckor collection, the finest Barber half dollar set ever assembled. The surfaces on this specimen are mark-free and virtually perfect. The strike is 100% full in every detail. The luster is pure white and fresh and original. This beauty looks like it was made yesterday!
