A spectacular strike! This is one of the most important coins of the 20th Century. And the big issue for 1921 Peace dollars is the strike. Because of the high relief design, the centers of the design, Ms. Liberty’s hair and the eagle’s feathers, were almost always incompletely struck. But this specimen is boldly struck with sharp hair detail and truly exceptional feather detail. The surfaces are very clean, the luster is fresh with a tinge of original very light golden patina. If you want a great 1921 Peace dollar, you won’t find a sharper strike
