|Grade:||PR 66 CA|
Amazing early proof rarity! The Mint did not begin striking proofs for collectors until 1858. And the initial production was limited for the first few years. Also, the Civil War of 1861-65 put a damper on collectors buying and the Mint’s production. The 1859 Liberty Seated quarter is a very rare coin in all grades. This PR66 Cameo is one of the finest we have ever seen. The surface are super bright and extremely reflective. The devices are thick white Cameo. The contrast is beautiful and the eye appeal is spectacular.
