Description
A classic type and the rarest date! Proof Barber quarters are one of the most important U.S. silver type coins. Minted from 1892 to 1915, and the 1914 is the lowest mintage of all proof Barber quarters and is considered the key to the series. This is a Superb Cameo Gem. The surfaces are deeply mirrored and the devices are white Cameo, making for outstanding eye appeal. Besides being the lowest mintage proof Barber quarter, the Cameo designation is an extra bonus for this coin. The Mint changed its finishing procedures for proofs in 1902, and Cameos are very rare for proofs from 1902 to 1915. In fact, for the 1914, PCGS has never designated a Deep Cameo in any grade. This is an important type in spectacular condition, and a great date
