Description
Spectacular early gold! Virtually all pre-1835 U.S. gold coins were exported and melted (as it was profitable to do this). This topped after the gold content was lowered in 1834/35. So early gold is rare in all grades and ultra rare in top grades. Somehow this specimen survived in near perfect Uncirculated condition. The surfaces are super clean, the strike is amazing, and the color and luster are rich and original.
