Description
Extremely rare proof! Proof Liberty gold is the beach front property of the rare coin market. And when it comes to pre-1900 issues you can add insane rarity. Many of the issues have original mintages of only 30,25,30 coins, etc. with some survival rates of only 10 to 15 coins. For the 1863 gold dollar only 25 were originally minted and an estimated 10 to 12 survive today in all grades. This is one of only three specimens graded Gem PR65 by PCGS and none have ever been graded higher.
