One of the finest available! For us, we are definitely having more trouble buying Gem $2.5 Liberties. There are just not a lot of coins available now…a very bullish sign. For the $2.5 Liberty series, the pre-1900 issues are much rare than the 1900-1907 coins. The 1898 is a scarce coin in all grades and a rare coin in Gem condition. This spectacular Gem is one of only 17 graded MS67 by PCGS in the last 36 years, about one every two years. Only three specimens have been graded higher.
